How to Follow Me on

Twitter is an interesting way to keep up to date without having to log in to Blackboard for class announcements. I will send class announcements through Blackboard and through Twitter.
If you have a Twitter account, log in and follow:
Even if you do not have a Twitter account, if you have a cell phone with text messaging, you can get class announcements sent to your phone by sending a text message to 40404 with the following message...
| follow @rpelleti1 |
for CISC 186 Visual Basic Programming |
| follow @rpelleti2 |
for CISC 190 Java Programming |
| follow @rpelleti3 |
for CISC 192 C/C++ Programming |
To stop following, you can send a text message to 40404 with...
| off @rpelleti1 |
for CISC 186 Visual Basic Programming |
| off @rpelleti2 |
for CISC 190 Java Programming |
| off @rpelleti3 |
for CISC 192 C/C++ Programming |
This works best if you have a cell phone with unlimited text messaging. Cell phone service providers charge for sent and received text messages. There is no extra charge for 40404 other than what your cell phone service provider charges for regular text messages.
Some people have their cell phone service provider block text messaging services like 40404 in which case you will not be able to follow my Twitter messages on your phone. You can still follow using a web browser, but if you are going to do that, why not just log in to Blackboard.
